【石水博物館プロジェクトチーム】高校生9人が博物館を訪れました

May 8, the nine high school students of the Sekisui Museum Project Team paid a visit to the museum after school.
We arrived at the museum on foot, and were immediately impressed at the modern building and its beautiful surroundings deep in the forests of Mt. Chitose. We listened carefully as the museum curators told us about Kawakita Handeishi, a famous ceramic artist from Tsu, whose works are exhibited in the museum. We then met in the meeting room and exchanged ideas with the curators and staff of the museum.
The museum is eager to attract more young people, and people from other countries. The museum has asked St. Joseph to work with them to translate information labels and other documents into English. We will also be thinking of ways of improving the museum’s social media profile.

5月8日、石水博物館プロジェクトチームの高校生9人が、放課後に博物館を訪れました。

私たちは徒歩で博物館に向かい、千歳山の森の奥深くに位置する美しい環境と現代的な建物に感動しました。博物館の学芸員さんから、津市出身の有名な陶芸家、川喜田半泥子（かわきたはんでいし）について説明していただきました。その後、多目的室で博物館の方々と意見交換を行いました。

博物館は、より多くの若者や外国の方々を呼び込みたいと考えています。近くにあるセントヨゼフと共に協力して、作品の情報ラベルやその他の文書を英語に翻訳します。また、博物館のソーシャルメディアプロフィールを向上させる方法についても考える予定です。
