みえグローカル学生大使の活動
「JENESYS2024伊勢神宮案内交流」

太平洋島嶼国の大学生４名と伊勢神宮を訪問しました。宇治橋、手水、参拝方法の説明、内宮各所の案内、おかげ横丁を散策し、海外の学生と交流することが出来ました。鳥居の前でのお辞儀や神路通りについてのお話を伝えた際、関心を寄せてくれました。おかげ横丁では、初めて食べる抹茶のソフトクリームといちご飴を美味しそうに食べてくれていました。沢山写真を撮って、楽しんでいる姿が見られました。私たちも伊勢神宮の歴史や文化を学ぶとともに、それを英語で伝える方法を試行錯誤しました。このような国際交流の場に参加できたことを嬉しく思います。

We had an opportunity to visit Ise Grand Shrine with four university students from the Pacific Islands. We explained about the Ujibashi, Temizu, and how to pray at the shrine. We guided them through the many places in the Inner Shrine, and walked around Okage Yokocho with them. It was an amazing chance to speak with them in English and learn about their culture as well. When we told them the explanations behind the small customs, such as bowing in front of the Torii and not to walk in the center of the path, they seemed very interested about it. At Okage Yokocho, they had matcha ice cream and candied strawberries for the first time, they told us that it was delicious and we had a fun time taking many photos. We were able to learn more deeply about the history and culture of Ise Jingu while thinking of the best way to explain it to the students. We are very grateful to have this chance to participate in this event as Mie Glocal Student Ambassadors.
